This presentation provides an opportunity to apply your knowledge of vices (envy, vain, glory, sloth, avarice, anger, gluttony, lust) to contemporary issues.
Under the guidance of your instructor, select one of the vices to research and present. Create a 12-15 slide presentation about the selected vice that includes the following:
- Discuss how one of the major vices (envy, vanity, sloth, avarice, anger, gluttony, lust) is described in Scripture.
- Explain how this vice is present and even promoted in our contemporary culture.
- Discuss how the virtue of charity (or love) can address and combat this particular vice.
- Describe with concrete examples how you could help your church to overcome this particular vice.
In addition, create a title slide, reference slides, and slide notes that provide detailed explanation of your research and observations.
Answer each of the following questions using the material in the Topic 7 Topic Overview and required readings to support your analysis of the contemporary manifestation of your chosen vice.
